Dr. Briney's passion for dentistry started when he was 13 years old when he witnessed his friend constantly being singled out because of his history of cleft lip/cleft palate. Upon researching the birth defect, Dr. Briney decided that he was going to change this stigma behind cleft lip & cleft palate. He focused on being an oral & maxillofacial surgeon by attending Indiana University. He received his B.S. Degree in Biochemistry and then his D.D.S. degree from Indiana University followed by a hospital residency focusing on the surgical side of dentistry. After a few years of owning a practice in Beverly Hills, he settled in Orange County, California where he has had his private practice in Dana Point since 1999. He is a Key Opinion Leader, Speaker and Clinical Advisory Board member for many dental companies including: Straumann, ClearCorrect, Biolase Lasers, Coltene, Hiossen Implants, Lumadent, Cerec CAD/CAM, and SHOFU. He also has been a guest faculty member of many universities teaching his techniques to future dentists across the United States.
